CAMP caca
Camp caca expands on our sessions from the school year as students dive deeper into comedy improvisation and sketch writing. Each week, students learn fun improv games in the morning with instructor Ollie Asch-Mei and then write and develop comedy sketches in the afternoon with teacher Joseph Riedel. At the end of each week, there is a showcase where students perform improv and sketches live in front of an audience.

Four summers ago, CAA was thrilled to bring a teen & young adult evening theatre program back to Croton in the form of Croton Academy Summer Theatre (C.A.S.T.). Helmed by Director Joseph Riedel, our first production was You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown in 2022. We have since produced StarKid's Firebringer in 2023, Mean Girls in 2024, and StarKid's The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals in 2025.
2026 Production
One of Stephen Sondheim’s most popular works, Into The Woods follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later.
